The parks and Recreation department is responsible for maintenance and control of
two public facilities - Pioneer Park and the old Midway School
site. The staff keeps up the playing fields, courts, picnic areas, buildings for the
community to enjoy year round. Recently, there was new playground equipment installed at
pioneer park and it was a big hit! Also, many organized sports and other community events
use the fields including soccer,
little league baseball, and women's softball.
Recreational Basketball - Began Winter 2008. New
Skateboard Park - Opened May 2008. Swimming Lessons began - Lucerne Springs
Pool - Summer 2008. |
